Nine of Cups - ROAD TRIP!

We're not sure Nine of Cups has ever experienced a land trip before. Certainly, never when she's been with us ... except maybe aground a couple of times!  We departed Atlantic Yacht Basin on Monday, but Nine of Cups was waiting with her new owner, Murray (aka Moose ... he's a big guy), for her 'ride' to the Pacific. Thomas Duncan Trucking came with excellent references and bright and early Wednesday morning, Thomas himself was waiting at the AYB gates with his lowboy trailer ready to load up Cups for her cross-country trip ... on land.

As we traversed North Carolina in Blue en route to Las Vegas, Moose, Thomas and the AYB crew were busy hauling Cups and loading her for transport. Murray was kind enough to share his photos with us. We thought you'd enjoy a look at them, too.

All loaded up, lashed down and ready to go. Captain Moose stands proudly ready to bid her farewell. He'll wait patiently on the other coast for her arrival - ETA 7-10 days.

We're going to keep in touch with Moose and Thomas Duncan to determine when Cups will be passing close to Las Vegas en route to Redondo Beach, CA. If we can manage it, we're planning to wave to Cups as she passes by!
