It took more than a month to get it finished, but we’ve finally completed the DIY video for our camping box. We recorded almost the entire build process… after which came the big job of editing several weeks of footage down to a reasonable length while still maintaining enough of the details to make it a worthwhile DIY video. The length is a lot longer than I wanted, about 19 minutes, but it’s better than the first pass which ran more than 35 minutes.

We also compiled an accompanying book that provides more detail on the build process, including a complete list of materials, with sources, a cutting guide, the dimensions of every piece of wood that was used in the build, the tools needed, and a slew of construction photos.

A sure cure for insomnia
