I've never had a high regard for British food. Some of my bias, I have to admit, comes from the generally bad rep it gets, and some is based on airport food I've had as I passed through London Heathrow on the way to business meetings elsewhere. Blue View – Driving Styles

As I watch the taxis, doubledecker buses and lorries navigate the congested, narrow roads here in England, I am reminded of how differently people drive in various parts of the world. We also noted that the most important part of a car in many parts of the world is the horn. The tires may be threadbare, the doors might be missing, and the windshield totally crazed – but none of these would phase a driver as long as the car has a working horn. Blue View – Driving On the Wrong Side

Now that we are in England, we need to relearn the art of surviving as a pedestrian in a country that drives on the wrong side of the road. Our penchant, of course, is to look to the left as we step off the curb, forgetting that in the UK as well as most of the former British colonies, the traffic comes from the other direction. In past adventures, we've had a few near misses with doubledecker buses and taxis before we got into the swing of things. Hopefully, we'll survive long enough to get into the habit of looking the other way.
