Taking a Break – Polynesian Paradise

Feel like taking a break… from the politics and the pandemic? Come with us to the French Polynesia… Pacific Polynesian paradise. Pearls, palm trees and peace of mind.

It was in 2009 that we finally began our passage across the Pacific. Waking up to the smell of fresh baked bread, strong coffee and the bustle of the market that first morning we were docked in Pape’ete, Tahiti was one of the most sensual, memorable experiences ever.

French Polynesia isn’t just Tahiti or Bora Bora (although both were wonderful). We visited the Gambier, the Tuamotus and the Society Islands…three months worth of WOW!

So forget what’s going on in this crazy world right and join us, just for a few minutes, as we visit these legendary, exotic South Pacific islands. Click here for the main French Polynesia page, then click on the highlighted individual island groups to explore further. You might try sipping coconut water to get into the mood.

Competing in the Moorea island relay races. We didn’t win, but we sure had fun!
