Taking a Break – When Blue Does Pink
/Looking back over all the Blue Views that David has done in the past, I’ve always thought this one was one of the funniest. Aboard Nine of Cups, there were certain chores that we naturally migrated towards… I did most of the cooking, cleaning and laundry. David did most of the repairs and maintenance. We thought of them as ‘pink’ and ‘blue’ chores. It wasn’t so much sexist as it was the expertise we had in certain areas… not to mention, I had no interest in changing the engine oil.
While I flew back to the USA from Australia to help care for my mom, David was left to his own devices aboard Nine of Cups, which included doing laundry. His ‘pink’ activities didn’t always turn out as he would have hoped.
