New Brunswick – Fundy National Park

We were surprised when we came upon Sawmill Creek Covered Bridge. For some reason, we never considered that there were covered bridges in Canada, but how naive? In fact, at the end of the 19th century, there were over 1400 covered bridges in Canadian rural areas.

New Brunswick's Kouchibouguac National Park

 New Brunswick's Kouchibouguac National Park

Considered one of the Top 10 beaches in Canada, Kelly’s Beach was a pleasant stretch of white sand, but we’re not beach people. We preferred the walk. It’s a short (1.2 miles – 2km RT), but pretty path that meanders through woods, marsh grass and onto the beach.

Nova Scotia - Exploring Digby Neck

After discovering we could drive along Digby Neck, I browsed through the many brochures we’d picked up along the way and found one specific to Digby Neck. It was only then we figured out that we could take a free ferry to Long Island and another free ferry to Brier Island.

Just a Little Further

Hi there and welcome to Just A Little Further!

We are David and Marcie Lynn and we've lived aboard our Liberty 458 cutter-rigged sailboat since 2000.

What began as an urge to travel slowly and economically at our own pace ended up an adventure of a lifetime.

Well, here we are ... nearly 90,000 miles under the keel, 5 continents, 5 Great Southern Capes, 36 countries and almost two decades later, still taking one passage at a time and going just a little further.
