There’s never a dull moment lately and we like that just fine. We’ve been home a few weeks now and it’s been a busy time… good busy, for the most part. It seems that almost every day finds something scheduled on our calendar. Do this, do that, don’t forget to get those, remember to complete that, and order stuff for Blanche so we can put that on the to-do list, too.

We’ve been home over a week now and I’ve been trying to catch up on the final days of our 5-month trip to complete the North to Alaska and back to Las Vegas saga. However, Hallowe’en is one of those holidays that needs celebrating and recognizing.

The town is a stop on the Alaska Marine Highway (the ferry) route and some cruise ships, as well as the Alaska Railroad or alternately accessible via the 2.5 mile long Whittier Tunnel (Anton-Anderson Memorial Tunnel) bored through a mountain. This tunnel is the longest highway tunnel and the longest combined highway/railroad tunnel in North America.
